Forrester Predicts Increase In Big Data Analytics Spending In Asia-Pacific

Forrester in its recently published report 2015 Predictions for Asia-Pacific reports that 205 will be a year for consumer insights and Big Data analytics.

It doesn’t seem surprising, with most new age marketing functions showing keen interest in real time analytics, mobile analytics a general curiosity and interest about cloud based applications especially cloud based analytics. What with the fact that big data analytics opens up a treasure of information about consumer purchase patters , improve consumer experience and open up new revenue streams

Infact one recent example is of Adnear, a location based mobile advertising platform that garnered USD19m funding.  The platform’s main differentiation is its ability to analyse user data and predict user profile basis real time data and app behavior. As per the CEO & Founder Anil Mathews, they are ike a big data company that uses data for analysis which is immensely useful and efficient for advertisers

As per Forrester among others, these 4 predictions are especially hot in context of Asia-Pacific:

1. Analytics spending to increase by at least 10% in Asia-Pacific
2. Data discovery capabilities will create opportunities & expose problems
3. Great interest and awareness in cognitive computing
4. Mobile analytics adoption to go mainstream
