Prometheus is a new supercomputer built by Hewlett-Packard with more than 1700 servers of HP Apollo 8000 platform, and connected by superfast Infiniband network of 56 Gbit /s throughput.
Prometheus, thanks to the innovative technology of water cooling of processors and memory modules, also became one of the most energy-efficient computers in its class – energy efficiency (PUE) of the system equals the largest data center systems in the world, such as Google or Facebook.
