Ministry of Science and Technology Secretary Ashutosh Sharma said, India would be getting new supercomputers as part of the government’s Rs. 4,500-crore National Supercomputing Mission. In an interview with the International Business Times, India, Sanjay Wandhekar, associate director and head of the Department of High Performance Computing at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) said the first of the 73 new supercomputers will tentatively be ready in 18 months.
