Bharti Airtel on Sunday announced its partnership with Amazon Web Services to offer enterprise solutions to its global customers. With this partnership, Bharti Airtel would be able to provide private network solutions on cloud model based on Amazon’s Direct Connect offerings.
Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 386.70, up by 6.35 points or 1.67% from its previous closing of Rs. 380.35 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 381.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 387.50 and Rs. 381.10 respectively. So far 26002 shares were traded on the counter. The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 419.90 on 19-Sep-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 289.80 on 25-Mar-2014. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 399.30 and Rs. 377.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 154459.54 crore. The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.37% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.95% and 9.67% respectively.
Amazon Web Services offers facility like website hosting, data storage and other softwares required to run or manage businesses.
An Airtel official explained that under this partnership customer will get commitment from the company on dedicated connection between their premise and AWS data centres –the facility which was not available earlier.
